Trips
The Lower Sixth take part in a four-day residential trip to the highly regarded Cranedale Field Study Centre in Yorkshire as well as a day trip to Winterton-on-sea to examine the sand dune succession.
The Upper Sixth typically have the opportunity to attend a conference that will deepen their understanding in A2 topics and help prepare them for university entrance.
In addition to the fieldtrips that are directly linked to the curriculum we also run a biennial fieldtrip in August to Iceland which is open to Year 9, 10, 11 and Lower Sixth pupils. Iceland is a fascinating country for all Geographers and the trip gives pupils the opportunity to get up close to volcanoes, hot springs and major fault lines.
