French
We follow the AQA specification in French which covers four topics at AS level and five at A2.
The AS topics are:
- Media
- Youth Culture
- Health and Well-Being
- Family and Relationships.
Some of these topics build upon those studied at IGCSE but treatment of them is much more in-depth and discursive. All topics are examined both in the Unit 2 Oral (35 minutes including 20 minutes’ preparation time – 30% of the AS) and in the Unit 1 Listening, Reading and Writing paper (2 hours – 70% of the AS), although the examination essay is written on just one of the topics.
