In 2011 73% of students taking Chemistry at The Perse achieved an A* or an A.

University entrants
We are proud of the numbers of Perse pupils who go on to study Chemistry or Natural Sciences at University. In addition, many of our students go on to use their chemistry in medical, veterinary and engineering degrees.
We aim to support and extend all students who wish to apply for Chemistry at University through a range of specially arranged activities including mock interviews, lectures, study-day visits and Headstart courses. Our students have been fortunate over the years to get experience of research through Nuffield Bursaries as well as several varied work placements. We were delighted that one of our students managed to gain a place at the Weizmann Institute’s International Summer Science Institute in Rehovot, Israel in the summer of 2011. This was an amazing opportunity to work in a team of Year 13 students from across the world supervised by top research scientists.
