Prep PSHEPSE (Personal and Social Education) lessons help pupils deal with the issues and problems with which they are faced in everyday life - getting on with others, growing up, the formation of values and increasing responsibilities. Pupils are encouraged to be sensitive to their environment and to the beliefs and behaviour of others. They are made aware of the major problems facing mankind.

In Years 3 and 4 pupils are taught PSE in their class group, for one period a week. In Years 5 and 6 they are taught in half classes by a specialist teacher also for one period a week. Lessons are informal with the emphasis being placed on discussion, supported when necessary by written work. There is no formal homework set, but pupils are encouraged to discuss their lessons at home.
