Learning Support

Staff at the Prep are responsive to the needs of pupils with particular strengths or difficulties and committed to promoting their full participation as members of the school.

Our specialist Learning Support teacher is responsible for planning and co-ordinating provision both for those pupils whose needs have been identified prior to entrance and those whose needs are identified after they have started school.

Concerns may be raised by staff following screening or general assessment procedures or by parents. These are investigated by the Learning Support teacher who then advises on any specific curriculum or pastoral needs that may be needed and works directly with those pupils who require specialist intervention in order to maintain progress.

Close liaison is established between staff and parents for those pupils receiving support in order to plan objectives and review outcomes.
