Inspection Reports
Independent schools are subject to regular inspections in the same way as are the maintained or state schools. Both the Independent Schools' Inspectorate (ISI) and OFSTED are responsible for scrutinising what happens at The Perse Pelican. Their judgments are founded on first hand observation and an extensive evidence base.
We are extremely proud that both inspecting bodies have confirmed that every aspect of life at The Perse Pelican is of a consistently high standard.
ISI

OFSTED
We participate in the grant scheme for 3+ and 4+ (Early Years Education Funding Scheme) children and so our Nursery and Reception provision is scrutinised by OFSTED. Their latest report is to be found on the OFSTED site (direct link).
OFSTED also oversees the provision of Out Of School Care. At the Pelican we operate an Early Start and Late Stay scheme, which caters for those children who need to arrive before the teaching day begins or stay after the end of lessons.
