Children will have attained the age of 5 before entering Year 1. We have 18 children in 1AW, which is so called after the initials of their teacher, Mrs Angela Watts. Mrs Watts is assisted part time by her Teaching Assistant, Mrs Helen Wood.

Who says 1AW is not busy in our last week at school this year?! We are very busy and doing things which we love to do. All the hard work is over so we thought you would like to see the things which are going on all the time, but perhaps you don't always see them. Lego is a favourite which many choose at the start of the each day before register. Art is one of our special times and this week has seen us finishing off some super Picasso-style work in our sketch books. We all thought of an individual message which we wanted to send to our Teaching Assistant to say thank you to her for all she does for us throughout the year; we put them together into one big card to give to her on the last day of term. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
