Nursery

Prospective Nursery children of similar ages are assessed in very small groups. The room is set up as it would be at a playgroup, with several activities available for the children to play with.  Staff are present to support the children as they play, as well as to observe them.  The whole experience is very positive. We often find that the children do not want to leave at the end of the session.

Reception

Those coming as prospective Reception pupils experience a similar environment, with a range of interesting activities available to the children. Some emergent literacy and numeracy tasks are included in these activities. Again, the children are often reluctant to go home, having become so engrossed in what they are doing.

Pupils with Special Educational Needs should discuss their application with the school prior to the assessment dates.
