Six pupils in Years 5 and 6 recently headed to St Faith's School for the annual Maths Challenge, a competition primarily aimed at pupils in Year 6. During the afternoon the children took part in three challenges: mental arithmetic, a 'Countdown' numbers game and 'The Big Event'. This was followed by the boys' favourite part of the afternoon – cakes and sandwiches on the lawn!
Our congratulations go to Yao-Chih Kuo and Mark Paschalis who won the blue section challenge, beating over 35 other teams from the region. In the red section of the competition, again including over 35 teams, Masaki Hattori and Philip Jackson finished as the close runners up, and Year 5 pupils James Able and Robbie Dodsworth came third. Excellent work!
